Diagnostic windows for STDs
Chlamydia: NAAT at presentation and if negative, repeated 2 weeks after the exposure (CKS)
Gonorrhoea: NAAT no earlier than 3 days after sexual contact (CKS)
HIV: HIV Duo? 99% of infections detected by 45 days post-exposure, median interquartile range 17.8 (13-23.6) days (BASHH)
Hepatitis B: HBsAg detected an average of 4 weeks (range 1-9 weeks) after exposure (CDC)
Hepatitis C: Antibody seroconversion 8-11 weeks after exposure, RNA detectable as early as 1-2 weeks after exposure (CDC)
Syphillis: Antibody test recommended 6 and 12 weeks after a single 'high risk' exposure (BASHH)
